Meet the new meat

We make plant-based products for flexitarians and meat lovers, for those who eat a hamburger every Friday and bring out the barbecue at the first rays of the sun.

Because at Greenway, we are convinced that we can all do our bit for the climate. And don't have to give up our delicious food to do so at all.

You can find our products at Foodbag, Delhaize, Colruyt, Carrefour, Spar, Okay etc..

Our principles

Manifesto

Looking after our world was always about less. Driving less with our cars, buying less stuff, using less electricity, traveling less, eating less meat.

What if we stop thinking in terms of less, and start thinking in terms of more. Getting around better, buying smarter, generating energy instead of only using it and eating more of what's good for us and our planet.

Let's do more. Look after our world and ourselves more. That's why, at Greenway, we're doing everything we can to look after our world.

But to make it fun, tasty and easy at the same time. Because the power we all hold is amazing.

That being said we're not the government. Or the United Nations. Oh, and we don't have billions of dollars.

We're just a food brand. But that's okay. Because when you look closer, it's often the small things that change the world.

The little efforts, the tiny actions, the little changes. Or even the small movement you make when you choose plant-based over meat in your shopping cart, on your menu or on your grill.

Yes, at Greenway, we believe we have the power to change the world. Not overnight. But one bite at a time.

Our DNA

Sustainability

Small steps make a big difference! Even that small movement you make when you choose plant-based options instead of meat while shopping, on your menu or on the barbecue. Together we are making the world a little greener. So what are you waiting for?

1. Plant-based products of local origin

Meat consumption and production accounts for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, which is more than global transportation. Our partner CO2 logic calculated the footprint and cycle of our products. The Greenway burger emits 94% less CO2 and uses 54% less water compared to meat production. Nice to know! We source all of our ingredients as locally as possible. #localveggies!

2. Production and transportation

We work closely with 2 Belgian production partners in West Flanders (Belgium). Greenway works closely with them on a sustainable approach.

For transportation to our customers and storage of our products, we cooperate with the company Herve.

Our own car regulations state that all company cars must be electric, but for now we have 2 hybrid cars.

3. Packaging

We use RPET (recycled PET) as packaging, as it is currently the most sustainable packaging on the market, considering food safety and environment. Currently, this is 80% RPET/ 20% PET combined with a cardboard sleeve. It is still a work in progress. Our goal is to go to 100% RPET.

4. Corporate culture

Our corporate culture rests on four pillars: mission-driven to address climate change with plant-based products, trust and transparency without unnecessary regulations, decision-making where everyone makes decisions within their role, and an authentic feedback culture with no top-down approach or individual bonuses.
