Meat consumption and production account for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, more than global transport. Our partner CO2 Logic calculated the footprint and life cycle of our products.<\/p>

The Greenway burger emits 94% less CO2 and uses 54% less water compared to meat production. Nice to know! We source all our ingredients as locally as possible. #localveggies!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We work closely with 2 Belgian production partners in West Flanders (Belgium). Greenway works closely with them on a sustainable approach.<\/p>

For transportation to our customers and storage of our products, we cooperate with the company Herve.<\/p>

Our in-house car regulations state that all company cars must be electric, but for now we still have 2 hybrid cars.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We use RPET (recycled PET) as packaging, as it is currently the most sustainable packaging on the market taking into consideration food safety and environment. Currently, this is 80% RPET\/ 20% PET combined with a cardboard sleeve. This is still a work in progress. Our goal is 100% RPET.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Methyl cellulose is a chemical compound derived from cellulose. It is used as a thickener and emulsifier in various food products. Like cellulose, it is non-toxic and non-allergenic.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Greenway is a Belgian company founded more than 25 years ago by Paul Florizoone, a true pioneer of vegetarian and vegan products. In 1998, Paul opened his first Greenway restaurant in the center of Ghent.<\/p>
